During the development of the open trays designs P84 in Alicante and their introduction in the market numerous problems and difficulties had to be overcome. Introducing a new product in a market is always a challenge, however, in this particular case the introduction also affected the production process on all levels. This is of course history but once the product was introduced with success an ongoing process of improvement started that still today has not stopped. In a very competitive environment a stand-still in improvement is already a step back, therefore our experts work every day on the processes in our production in order to improve them.

The know-how offered to our licensees is based on this experience of over 20 years in the fruit and vegetable market and comprises the entire process of the production of corrugated carton. From the experience in fresh fruit and vegetables trays in our highly specialised plant in Alicante we are able to offer recommendations on raw material selection, machine systems, process management, die-cuts, glues, mounting machines,…. All solutions we offer or recommend have been tested and implemented in our plant. Our licensees are therefore able to avoid themselves a lot of time and money in testing and are able to implement directly a solution that works.

The doors of our plant are always open for our licensees and we receive frequently visitors for information and training.

The fruit and vegetable market in Europe is changing constantly and the retailers are in many cases the driving force behind those changes. Fruit and vegetables are loosing there seasonality which means more fruit and vegetable is imported from other parts of the world, quality control and traceability for produce and packaging are enforced in markets, private labels are gaining importance, traditional sources for produce are loosing importance, organic food gains importance, discounters grow fast in the produce segment

In order to be aware of these changes we decided to have a Retail expert who detects and informs us about these changes in Europe’s retail world. Of course we share this important knowledge with our licensees.

Through our retail expert we offer as well the possibility to check for our licensees the arrival of goods in any European harbour. This is an additional free service for our licensees.
